Match the Hatch

The bugs are here! Baetis have been coming off in the mornings and evenings. Some fish are starting to look towards the surface and have been feeding on cloudy days. Before long, dry fly season will be here. Nymphing has been steady with good results, and fish are starting to target buggier patterns, such as RS2, Baetis, Pheasant tails, and Emergers. Water flows in the coming weeks will continue to rise as Pathfinder fills, in anticipation for more runoff from up river. Water clarity is excellent on the upper end from Grey Reef to Lusby,  some algae is  beginning  to appear on the bottom.  The lower end from Lusby towards Casper is fishable but the water clarity is fair.
